  The Future of Water
  by: Dr. Mark R. Luttenton
The relationship between civilization and water has a long history. The core of that history rests on the simple fact that water is essential for life but geopolitics and economic forces have reshaped our fundamental relationship with this essential resource.
In his presentation, Dr. Luttenton will provide a brief history of the role water has played and its significance to civilization, with particular focus on the Great Lakes, and the changes due to human activities. Within that context, he will present a view of the future of water, and how making water a commodity will shape that future.
