Hazardous Waste Materials Day

Here is a great way for you to dispose of things that are hazardous to have around your home.

Things like:

1.      Automotive products (including fuel)

2.      Oil Paint (as opposed to water-based latex paint)

3.      Yard chemicals

4.      Cleaners

5.      Miscellaneous things like:

a.      Mercury

b.      Pool Chemicals

c.      Medicines

Check out this brochure for detailed instructions on how to participate.

It is the 2010 Collection Day, August 21, 2010, 9:00 to 2:00, at the Mason County Road Commission building located at 510 E State St, Scottville, MI 49454.

The Mason-Lake Conservation District coordinates the program and assists the Household Hazardous Waste Committee with organization. The program is paid for in Mason County by allocations from Mason County Commissioners, Townships and Municipalities, and donations from OxyChem Co. of Ludington, local organizations and individuals.

Participation is free and anonymous, but donations are welcome.
